Indescribable, St. Augustine

Thought: "There is a restlessness that will not find its rest until it finds its rest in God." St. Augustine

Song: Indescribable by Chris Tomlin

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

Verse: Luke 15:6 "...Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep."

Thought: That God loves this lost sheep (who seems to get lost daily)...that He see the depths of a heart that is shamefully evil every day (greed, pride, anger, jealousy...just to name a few) and loves me the same...that, my friends, is truly the most valuable lesson.

  1. Again this week you pick a song that I absolutely love. The words just seem to really touch a part of me that needs to know that God loves me no matter what!!! :) :)
