walgreens, red cross, excedrin deal

Good Morning! I'm going to give blood in a little bit, hence the Red Cross Heroes logo...if you live in my area, our school, High Point Christian, is hosting a blood drive, so come on by!

Good deals today: Today is Friends and Family Day at Walgreens. You'll get 15% off eligible store items and 20% off Walgreens and W brand products. Go to Walgreens.com to print a coupon. You have to check out at the photo or cosmetics counter. Also, get a free 8x10 collage print on Friday Feb 12 only. Order it online, use code VDAY, and pick up in-store.

Here's a sweet offer if you are an Excedrin fan. Fill out the very short survey (one question) and they'll send you a coupon for a free bottle. Actually, if you check that you use Excedrin, you'll be linked to coupons, if you check another brand, you'll get a coupon for a free bottle. Click here: http://www.excedrin.com/offer.shtml

Ohio Readers: Kroger is having triple coupons Thurs- Sun. Be sure to confirm with your store; it may be limited area. I miss Kroger here in NC.

This morning as I was sitting on the sofa drinking coffee and reading my Bible, I heard a sparrow singing. I looked out and saw him on the hedge in front of my window; he had puffed his feathers out, presumably because it's cold (OK, you northeren readers, I know 20 is nothing for you, but for us with thinned blood, it's dad-blame freezing down here!!!). He just sat there, singin' his little heart out. I thought of that verse that talks about God knowing when every sparrow falls and how He cares for each of them. Then I looked at the maple tree on my lawn. There was a big fat red-headed woodpecker banging away, along with 2 chickadees and a beautiful red cardinal. A fluffy gray squirrel jumped out of the hole in the tree and ran to the top to eat a nut. I sat there, in my warm house and just listened and watched. I could hear the dishwasher and washing machine, the coffee percolating and the furnace running...and WOW! I just felt SOOOOO blessed!! I thank God today for my husband and four healthy kids (you have NO idea!!) and all the things I take for granted every day. I prayed for my Maine neighbor who is in ICU ( love you Joan!!) and so many others on my list. I prayed for the future spouses of my kids, so watch out whoever you are!! And I thanked Him for this blog and all of you who have encouraged me and made me feel like this is a worthy effort. (don't stop! I need lots of scooby snacks (aka encoragement) This morning,  my kids took in 40 cans of food for the food drive. (when you coupon shop and stock up, it's not hard to find these in the pantry), and now, I am going to give blood. I watched my daughter walk out the door this morning and thought of the Ohio people whose blood is surging through her veins, and it gives a whole new meaning to giving myself. So today, right now, think of 5 things you are thankful for and vow not to complain about anything for the rest of the day! Do something nice for someone...even if it's just taking that beautiful smile of yours and sharing it with everyone you meet!!! And know that you have blessed me by reading my blog!!
